After decades of violent warfare, Cambodia has finally begun to stabilise and its people have started the long road to recovery. 80% of the population lives in rural conditions, often with very low standards of living, and those who migrate to the cities struggle to adjust. In an effort to provide support for many young rural and urban Cambodians, Rajana supports a workshop where people draw on their rich culture to design products reflective of their nation’s long and distinct heritage and traditions. Workers receive fair wages and working conditions, affording them the dignity a respectable trade offers. In addition, Rajana supports them with training workshops on life skills their informal education has not provided
