36F2+3QM, #221, Street 800, Wat Kor Village, Sangkat, Krong Battambang,
In the late 70s, when the Khmer regime, a young boy named Kim Nou frequently made trips to the Tonle Sap Lake to fish with others in the same village. One day, while they were on their way to the lake, the oxcart wheel broke. A family nearby rushed to hand them a special type of wood used to manufacture the trolley wheels. It is with natural hospitality and intent that the family invites everyone to their table to eat once the wheel is fixed. They sit together before cooked meals and offer them with love, as if they were all family. Obviously, in rural Cambodia, mutual aid and conviviality are values that we share.
